This is a French Bronze and Gilt Mantel Clock depicting " Homer " It was made circa 1810.

The clock has an 8 day original movement which strikes the hours on a bell and was made by "N.Fachau A Etampes" as signed on the Silvered dial. Etampes is a commune near Versailles. approx 48 km south west from the centre of Paris.
