The theme of this fine Empire Clock, is of Apollo driving his Dragon Chariot and two Horses,  Representing the Triumph of Apollo.  It is believed to be by the Bronzier "Ravrio" and its  twin is in the Clock collection of the Louvre, Paris.

French Gilded and bronzed striking Mantel Clock. The movement is of an 8 day duration, steel suspension, anchor escapement and count wheel striking on a Bell. Its base is of Green marble and claw feet, adorned with quiver and arrows.
