French bronzed and ormolu round top mantle clock. This clock has a silk suspension and count wheel striking. With a wonderful and detailed, silvered engine turned dial this clock stands 10" (25cm) high. On the hour it will strike the number followed by once on the half onto a bell. This clock has been signed by the wonderful French clock maker "Payne of Paris" and is a particularly fine example of his work, with real detailing and high quality workmanship. This clock has an 8-day duration and the serial number is 1820.
