French mantel clock. This clock is from the restoration period around 1830. It is fitted with a silk suspension and counts the strikes via a count wheel onto a bell. It strikes the number on the hour and once on the half. The serial number is 1185. This clock depicts a
young man holding a bird with a tool in his other hand, whilst resting upon a tree stump. He is also surrounded by wonderful gilt flora. This figure is mounted onto a wonderful bronze case with beautiful detailing and a white dial.
