English satinwood barometer with inlaid box wood stringing, circa 1830-1876. Signed by "Henry Huges" of 59 Fenchurch St, London. It hangs 39" (100cm) down and has wonderful silvered dials indicating the air pressure, temperature and level of the instrument itself.
