French Mantel clock. With a gilded and bronzed case. 15" (38cm) high, 10½" (27cm) wide, 3½" (9cm) deep. Surmounted by a young prince with mace. Serial No. 838, this clock dates around 1835-1840. Fitted with silk suspension & count wheel striking, which strikes the number on the hour and once on the half on a bell. The dial has an engine-turned silvered dial.
