The London ClockMaker

French Portico mantel clock, circa 1840. 19" (48cm) high. The case is made from walnut with highly decorated marquetry inlay and boxwood stringing. It also has ormolu mounts and a temperature compensating pendulum. Serial No. 64. Of 8-day duration, the clock strikes on a bell, the numbers on the hour and once on the half. Regulated by a count wheel.
