The London ClockMaker

French 4 pillar Empire portico clock, circa 1790. The case is made from white Alabaster marble and measures 20" (51cm) high, 11" (29cm) wide, 8" (20cm) deep. It strikes on a bell, regulated by a court wheel, the number on the hour and once on the half. It has the original enameled and engine turned mercury gilded dial. Also with temperature compensated grid bi-metallic pendulum.
